The second weight. 3 ZenBook is lighter than the MacBook. Only 10 grams, it is true, but let’s not forget that “Zenbakia” and the screen slightly more (12.5 inches vs 12).

MacBook, in turn, boasts higher resolution (1920×1080 vs 2304х1440), the best touchpad and more durable construction. On the stand it seemed to me that the ZenBook 3 very weak cover, but far-reaching conclusions, I will not comment.

This tablet could just add to the iPad Pro, if not for one fundamental difference – a full-fledged desktop OS: Windows 10 Windows 10 Pro or Home, depending on configuration. So that the Transformer 3 can be considered as a replacement for the laptop and the iPad Pro — it is impossible.
In place of the CPU chip Intel Core seventh generation, has not yet officially announced. Also there is 8 GB of LPDDR3 memory and up to 512 GB of SSD. The screen on the IPS-matrix has a diagonal of 12.6 inches, resolution 2880х1920 and extended color gamut (121% sRGB).
Size and weight are very reasonable: 303х202 mm and 695 g and thickness and is close to a record high of 6.9 mm. the case has a single USB type-C, one Thunderbolt, and a docking connector cover keyboards. The more expensive and fancy Transformer 3 Pro is exactly the same screen as the original Transformer 3. And that’s where the similarity ends. It is a device of another class, and it will soon compete with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. In any case they are very similar in appearance: stand back, mount the keypad, the shape of the hull – that’s all. However, the configuration of the ASUS is utterly uncompromising.
In place of the CPU – Intel Core i5 or i7 of the seventh generation to choose from, plus up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD. In addition, there is a very good hybrid for a set of computer ports: USB-C, HDMI, USB 3.0, microSD and audiojack and built-in fingerprint sensor (located on the side of the case).

Metal stand in the back holding on very tight and sturdy hinges. So the tilt screen you can pick as smoothly, as in the case with a traditional laptop. Well, among additional accessories ASUS will offer branded stylus, external graphics dock that will allow you to play games and use demanding VR applications.
