A virtual reality helmet Sony PlayStation VR will debut October 13

At E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) 2016, which runs from June 14 to June 16 in Los Angeles, Sony announced the start of sales of his helmet virtual reality VR PlayStation.

Sony PlayStation VR, formerly known under the code name Project Morpheus will be available to purchase October 13, 2016, including in Russia. The price for Russia is not yet announced. In the US the cost of the helmet pre-order starts at $399,99 for a set with the computing unit, cables, charger, headphones and a demo disk.

The helmet is designed to work in tandem with a PlayStation 4. The final version of Sony’s PlayStation VR has received a 5.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, that is 960 x 1080 pixels for each eye at a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a viewing angle of about 100 degrees. There is also the accelerometer and gyroscope, HDMI and USB. It is powered from the console. Supported controllers DualShock 4 or Move.
