The Opel Tigra B Twin Top was introduced in 2004. This car had the Tigra A follow up a year or four earlier, out of production was gone, and did so with a major modification: the roof was no longer fixed.
The Tigra Twin Top has a wegklappend roof, designed and built by the people of the French bodywork company, Heuliez, who is also behind that other compact car with klapdak: the Peugeot 206 CC.
Unfortunately for Opel, the Tigra Twin Top is no seller, such as the 206 CC that was for Peugeot. The car went in 2009, is already out of production. The Tigra Twin Top was based on the Corsa C and is a striking carriage to see, both with the roof open as closed. The hydraulic roof is electrically operated, opens and closes in 18 seconds and was still quite a nice trunk for the two occupants. Also, there is a large storage compartment behind the front seats.
There is a choice of three engines, two petrol engines (90 and 125 hp) and one diesel (70 hp). Can switch with the hand (vijfbak) or with an Easytronic (robotized manual gearbox). If you have a well equipped copy looking for the wages to go to the Exclusiv version and look forward to. Prices for a Tigra Twin Top starting around 4000 euros and go up to around 9000 euros.

- This cabrio is still suffering from leakage around the windows, the rubbers to keep the water well outside. Check the voetenbak and mattenset well waterplekken.
- The Tigra Twin Top has also a problem with leakage through the afwateringsschot. The brake cylinder looks it glued, but it leaves sometimes loose allowing water in the voetenbak can walk.
- The electric unlocking of the trunk is broken sometimes and is also prone to leakage.
- The brakes seem to be a little faster wear than average, so check whether the blocks/discs just life span.
- There is, in some cases, clearance on the steering rack. Repair is pricey.
- Beeps and kraakjes are standard, that is the flip side of a car with a wegvouwbaar roof. The stiffness of the body is also considerably less with the roof open.
- The camshafts of the 1.4 TWINPORT are known for the fact that they still sometimes break. If the car has a bad start or erratic running, these are signs that the wrong way to go. This is because the bolts in the camshaft come loose.
- Parts for the Tigra that specific model (such as parts of the roof) are sometimes poorly available. Components with the Corsa to be shared are just to obtain.
- There is a recall for cars that on 1 August 2007 are built. A steering arm could let go, but if the good is replaced under warranty.
