And the hits keep on coming….. Maranello’s latest beast listens to the name, 488 GTB, and it does 0-200 km/h in 8.3 seconds!

Just revealed: the long-awaited Ferrari 458 successor slash facelift, complete with hated turbotechniek. With a nod to the – 40-years-older – 308 GTB gets the name, 488 GTB. The key figures:

3.902 cc V8 turbo
670 hp @ 8,000 rpm
760 Nm of maximum torque
0-100 km/h in 3.0 s
0-200 km/h in 8.3 s
Top speed: > 330 km/h
Lap Fiorano in 1:23 minutes

The motor measures just 4 litres, which will play that cars with a larger displacement than that in China extra heavy load. Ferrari claims that the 488 50% more downforce than the 458, and less aerodynamic drag. Several innovative features were specially developed for this purpose, including a double front spoiler, special air intakes on the sides and behind the implementation of active aerodynamics coupled with a blown spoiler. The aerodynamically designed underbody, is fitted with wervelingelementen.

The rear got the diffuser – now with active valves – an aggressive angle of inclination. This made the exhaust a bit to move. Also new are the round LED tail lights.

Just as in California it is the full maximum torque is only in the highest gear available, from 3.000 rpm.
