If you somewhere fast, then it is an Audi S – or RS-model is often the best candidate. Issues

• S3’s have every year a service is needed. Check in the documentation or that happened.
  Drive of the fuel pump, the camshaft can wear down. Can the camshaft damage, so it is better to preventative approaches (especially given the low price).
• Manual: listen to the rattle and noise when on the gas again. That could be an indication that the gearbox overhauled.
• The 2.0 TFSI engine is known for oil consumption, regular gauge. It can be solved, but that is a costly procedure.
• On tuned S3’s the clutch must be upgraded.
• Dark metallic colours (especially black) damage quickly.
• The S-tronic transmission may be susceptible to failure. 60,000 km oil change is crucial. Contaminated or old oil can the S-tronic bake hot, so the clutch plates burning.
• Hinges glove box are fragile: not to be filled up.
• The wiper engine, behind is a relatively quick piece, check the operation thereof.
