Everything for which you need a 5 Series would buy, but in a 3 Series. The BMW 3 Series *ahem* Gran Limousine Iconic Edition is just that.
It sounds so contradictory: in China people always aim to have the longest wheelbase. Not really because the Chinese, who are about 20 centimeters shorter compared to the beanstalks in our country, really need that space: more so that you can show what you can afford. That should be on every car, at least sedans. So in addition to the BMW 7 Series, the 5 Series and even the 3 Series are supplied as LWB.
BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition
That apparently caught on in other major Asian markets. A new version of the BMW 3 Series is now coming to India and the name says it all. The car is called in full BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition. No, mine is the longest!

Chic de fiemel
What does it mean? Of anything and everything. Firstly, that this is indeed the extended 3 Series, more space between the wheels and therefore a longer rear door. However, it goes beyond that. Take that beautiful crystal-like gear lever. Or the interior anyway. The example shown (of which there is suspiciously little image) is dark blue with a beautiful brown leather interior, with cushions on the headrests. Then you're really talking about something, right? Be welcome at any Indian golf club.

Luminescent kidneys
But what makes the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition truly iconic is the luminous kidneys. BMW already supplies these on the X6 and aftermarket on a few other models, but on the special 3 Series you get them as standard. It may be a matter of habituation, but the undersigned thinks it is useful.

Prices
A BMW 3 Series costs in India converted 51,600 euros. The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition comes as 320Ld and 330Li, with the L from LWB of course. Strikingly enough, the 330Li is the cheap version, which costs 61,500 euros. The diesel version is not extremely much more expensive, converted 63,100 euros. To return to the claim “that the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition makes the 5 Series superfluous”, everything costs from about 72,000 euros (converted). So yes, in that respect the super de luxe 3 Series is the better buy. Unfortunately only for India. Would you consider such a nice chic 3 Series instead of a 5 Series?
