IDC: Russian PC market continues to recover

Analytical company IDC has told about the Russian market of personal computers in the first quarter of 2017. According to analysts, the PC market in Russia continues to gradually recover.

Over the past quarter in Russia were supplied 971 thousand portable and desktop PCs. This represents an increase of 18.3% in volume and 14.3% in monetary terms compared to the same period last year.

The leaders were Lenovo with a share of 22.8% of all delivered during the quarter, PCs, Hewlett-Packard from 22.3%, Acer with 10.9 per cent, ASUS with 7.2 percent and Dell with 6.6 percent. The volume of the desktop market for the quarter amounted to more than 375 thousand units, a decrease of 4.5%. The five leaders include Lenovo, HP, iRU, DEPO Computers and Acer.

In the segment of desktop computers noticeable growth monoblocks. Delivery this category desktops increased by 38.3% compared to the first quarter of 2016. Laptop sales increased by 39.3% compared to last year to 596 thousand units. In the Top 5 include HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS and Dell.

According to analysts, at the moment the segment of tablets has a negative bias, as the smartphone market gradually reaches saturation. In these terms of PC shipments begin to stabilize.
