The God of War game was launched with maximum graphics. The average FPS with it was 103 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 113 fps (RX 7900 XTX).
In Witcher 3 NextGen with Maximum, TAAU, RT Ultra, HairWorks Off graphics, the average performance was 37 fps (4080 S) and 32 fps (7900 XTX). With Max Settings, RT Ultra, HairWorks Off in the same game the average frame rate was 85 fps and 55 fps, respectively, with Max Settings, TAAU, RT Off, HairWorks Off the same figures were 63 fps and 64 fps /s accordingly.
Red Dead Redemption 2 came with Max Settings and TAA. The average FPS in it was 77 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 86 fps (RX 7900 XTX).
In the game Far Cry 6 with Max Settings, HD Textures, Ray Tracing Off, the average performance was 110 fps (with RTX 4080 S) and 128 fps (with RX 7900 XTX).
Resident Evil 4 came with Ray Tracing Preset. The average frame rate in this game was 104 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 110 fps (RX 7900 XTX).

DOOM Eternal launched with Ultra Nightmare Settings, RT On. The average FPS in this game was 200 fps (with RTX 4080 Super) and 157 fps (RX 7900 XTX).
In Cyberpunk 2077 with RT Ultra Preset, Native, the average frame rate was 27 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 20 fps (RX 7900 XTX), with RT Ultra Preset and DLSS Quality + Frame Generation or FSR2 Quality – 79 fps and 38 fps, respectively.
Hogwarts Legacy ran with Max Settings, RT Off, TAA High averaging 66 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 80 fps (RX 7900 XTX), with Max Settings and RT Off averaging 125 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 115 fps (RX 7900 XTX).
The Last of Us Part 1 was tested with Ultra, Native graphics. Average performance in this game was 68 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 69 fps (RX 7900 XTX).
Forspoken was launched with Max Settings, RT On, Native. The average FPS in this game was 57 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 51 fps (RX 7900 XTX). With Max Settings, RT On and DLSS Quality or FSR3 Quality, average performance was 80 fps (RTX 4080 S) and 75 fps (RX 7900 XTX), with Max Settings, RT On and FSR3 Quality + Frame Generation – 131 f/s and 133 f/s, respectively.
Conclusion
In general, in all games in 4K at maximum settings graphics, the difference in average FPS between the RTX 4080 Super and RX 7900 XTX was 6% in favor of the 4080 S (88 fps and 83 fps, respectively).
