According to the expert, sites that are better not to visit are e-mail and online banking. A VPN is needed to bypass blocking, but information is still transmitted through it, so the risk of a leak remains. In addition, according to Ulyanov, it is important whether the user trusts the VPN client or not.
“I would not recommend using VPN services to access any then critical accounts, such as Internet banking or email, to which other accounts and accounts are linked. This will be a compromise of information, and this is not safe. If we use a VPN to get access to some resource that is blocked, this is a light option,” Ulyanov recommended.
