The new method is called HYBRiD. It replaces traditional fabric cleaning, which uses solvents to remove opaque molecules. Existing methods may not be applicable to all parts of the body.
HYBRiD consistently uses organic and polymeric solvents. Samples are also treated with a water-based hydrogel for 3D visualization of cleaned organs (DISCO). The sample just needs to be immersed in a container with reagents.
Scientists have already tested the method on a mouse infected with covid. It made it possible to identify pathologies.
