This is unpleasant, but not critical, experts say. The international community for responding to cyber threats FIRST has suspended work with Russian centers. This is a worrisome step that could be followed by a decrease in security levels, journalists say.Discuss
FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams – A forum of teams for security and incident response) accumulates knowledge about cyber attacks from different countries. Community members can share experiences. Now eight Russian centers for responding to computer incidents have been deprived of this. Among them are the Center for Monitoring and Response to Computer Attacks of the Bank of Russia (FinCERT), centers at Kaspersky Lab, etc. In addition, FIRST suspended cooperation with two Belarusian centers.
Experts note that FIRST, although useful, is not the only source of data on cyber threats.
