The expert explained this by saying that large companies use special advertising identifiers with which they can track the actions of target users up to the move. This is called ADINT, or Advertising Intelligence, which means “advertising intelligence.”
Bederov noted that even people without special knowledge can use such tools. If you upload a list of phone numbers to such a system, you can get a set of important information. This suggests that almost anyone can access such information.
“In late 2017, the University of Washington published a study that proved the ability to track the movements of phone and email owners by their advertising IDs. The essence of the study was that the largest advertising platforms use unique advertising identifiers of their users associated with their phone numbers or email. Launching banner or geo-targeted advertising on a given list of contacts will allow you to control their movements in a given geographical area,” the expert noted.
