Researchers studied six years of telescope data in an attempt to identify potential signs of Planet Nine in the southern sky. Images taken by the telescope between 2013 and 2019 covered about 87% of the sky visible from the Southern Hemisphere. While the team has identified over 3,000 possible light sources ranging from 400 to 800 astronomical units (AU), none of these candidates can be confirmed as a planet.
