This was reported on the YouTube channel Miyconst The host of the YouTube channel Miyconst explained why the Core i9-12900 processor is sold by the Chinese at a low price. Discuss The Chinese sell engineering Core i9-12900 very cheaply. But there is a catch ...

As you know, the Core i9-12900 is one of the recently released Intel processors. The Chinese sell these engineering designs extremely cheaply. Why? For this, the host made the following configuration: video card AMD RX 6800XT, processor Core i9-12900, RAM 2x8GB DDR4, motherboard MSI Z690-A Pro, SSD Intel 240 GB, power supply EVGA SuperNova 750 P2, cooling system Noctua NH-D15.

At the same time, in comparison with the i5-12600k, the i9-12900 processor gets lower points in almost all tests. At the same time, the power consumption of the system turns out to be higher: 225 W versus 190 W.

In the end, the Core i9-12900 may be a suitable option only for building MITx without a graphics adapter, if only the cost drops to less than 250 euros. Also, the lack of PCI-E 5.0 is another problem. The fact is that most of the inexpensive Z690 motherboards do not have an additional PCI-E X16/X8 4.0 slot. The processor costs more than 310 euros including VAT.
