You can already set up your 2022 agenda for Formula 1: the organization shares the provisional F1 calendar for 2022!

An F1 year is always packed. The first race is usually in March and the last sometime in November. Including of course free weeks and the summer break. We are still in the middle of the F1 year of 2021, but the organization behind Formula 1 already wants to talk about 2022.

Cracks full

Because a record has been broken: the F1 calendar for 2022 is fuller than ever! We can add a new circuit to the calendar, in addition to the return of, for example, Zandvoort and Saudi Arabia. We're going to talk about the full calendar in a moment, first what you should do without this year. That is China, where the situation surrounding Covid-19 is still too dangerous. Furthermore, they are quite well-known circuits with one newcomer. By the way, we can welcome them early.

F1 calendar 2022

Because without further ado, this is the (provisional) F1 calendar of 2022:

The newcomer is the Miami GP. Another street circuit, next to the new Saudi Arabian GP that is already here this year. Miami is fifth, on May 6-8. That is where we could expect Zandvoort in 2020, but the placement there towards the end of the year was better. Zandvoort 2022 will take place from 2 to 4 September. One change is that Saudi Arabia is moved forward. He is the second to turn, after Bahrain.

Asterisks

By the way, there are still some asterisks at a number of circuits on the F1 calendar of 2022. That concerns circuit like Singapore, where this year is not was raced on. Miami is also not yet fully established due to 'circuit homologation'. At least they have plenty of time for it.

Other than that, everything has remained nice and normal. Few canceled and 23 races on the schedule: more than ever. The directors can get ready for a busy year. And of course finish this year.
