Review headphones TinAudio T3 — same as before, but better

TinAudio are among those manufacturers that are not trying to sit on all chairs, and to grasp the immensity, struggling in all segments. They found a niche, low-cost model with a neutral sound, and skillfully work in it. After two successful models T2 and T2Pro, they decided to try hybrids and released T3, which we’ll talk.

Usually I start to paint some of the technical features of models, but in this case, there is not really much to go with a description. A decent speaker, a good armature from Knowles, metal case, wire, oxygen-free copper — this is now no surprise. The main thing is to “mix” these elements, and Audio is Tin can, from any of the components they get your signature sound. It is also nice that they are not lomyat price for headphones asking for only 60 – 70 dollars, which nowadays can be considered budget proposal.

Packing and delivery

The box this time made slightly more complicated in the outer white “dust cover” made the cut, and cover the inner box is as usual decorated “by the book” has left a clear window through which the visible headphones. Thus, without the pretty packaging has become even more spectacular. Inside the buyer will have:

  • the earphones themselves
  • cable
  • accessories: two pairs of foam tips and two sets of 3 pairs of silicone
  • manual

“Presentation” was the company a success, headphones can be a great gift, they look more expensive than its price.

Design and comfortable wearing

Another strong point of this model is its appearance. Classic cylindrical frame made of metal in the back is a ledge with MMCX connector. For the new model the company’s designers worked with the form: chamfers, ribs, grooves — General view of the earphone was a little more spectacular, but remained within the typical brand of austerity.

Thanks to the traditional form, the headphones sit well in the ears, providing decent comfort and sound insulation average. The funny thing is that finally the company realized that the landing “connector forward” and put it back how I have done it all headphones designed for behind the ear wear. If you want, you can wear T3 and wire down, you can swap places headphones and to take the cable -.

Complete wire get straight feast for the eyes: soft, flexible, comfortable to wear. It also looks beautiful: it was the typical “braid”, which usually I love to take expensive. To this is added the metal MMCX connectors with a good fit and the metal plug with a carbon fiber insert. Splitter also made of metal and the slider is made in the form of a pretty transparent beads.

TinAudio T3 difference between “expensive” appearance and quality performance, so you can once again mention how affordable headphones, in appearance comparable to the flagships of five to seven years ago.

Sound

To listen following equipment was used.

  • Yulong DA9 and Resonessence Labs Concero HP in the role of DAC and amplifier
  • Apple MacBook Pro Retina 2016 as the source
  • Fidelia in the role of player
  • Lotoo Paw Gold Touch, theBit OPUS#2, Astell&Kern, A&ultima SP1000 and the role of other portable players
  • Recording high-resolution Lossless-formats (Dr. Chesky have The Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Disc and others)

Before listening headphones were heated for 48 hours, the change in sound was only the first couple of hours.

This time TinAudio slightly retreated from its signature neutral delivery, making a small nod to the “liveliness” and that’s what gave T3 to implement the step up. The model became emotional and his face, while retaining the non-dyed and decent sound for the price range resolution. In the description of the sound I consider the price category, so I will try to use less momentum like “for the price”.

The bass is accented there is little that will upset fans of the pump, but it is quite dense and elastic, and has good depth. In combination with the resolution and texture of more expensive models, it gives the bass a great level of naturalness and balance. The headphones do a great rendition of lowercase saturated timbre of the instruments.

The mid-frequency range compared to previous models became less focused on the micro-contrast and slightly increased in terms of “macro” elements. Weight, emotions and integrity has reached a new level, combined with the corporate neutrality of the headphones providing a more “adult” sound. The overall detail remained at a good level, providing a decent level of immersion to the record. An imaginary scene somewhere in the middle of width and depth, but the positioning of instruments and separation of layers is possible headphones.

The top of the frequency range had been processing, obviously the developers chose the “good” fittings. Of course, the bedding, and the wealth of nuances megadriver expensive models here, and the length of the RF is clearly not prohibitive, but the resolution and naturalness is very good. Also engineers TinAudio managed to find the “right” to my ears the number of “top”, so this part of the spectrum sounds balanced and doesn’t pull the blanket.

In this price range headphones very much, so in comparison I was limited to just a few models.

Ostry KC09 This model offers a more dark flow with a slightly lower resolution and a bigger bass emphasis.

iBasso IT01 Tuning of this model is a little more aggressive bass and treble is more accentuated, so despite the close resolution model from TinAudio sounds more neutral.

Whizzer A15 Pro Good dynamic headphone offering a slightly more natural bass (albeit with less depth). The rest of the range TinAudio sound more details, but with a bit less weight.

Compatibility

Of course, 95 mW sensitivity make the headphones are not the most suitable load for smartphones, although most of them have done it, but here comes another consideration. The technical level of the model is very high, and completely disclose its only players, and with TinAudio T3 can be considered even devices initial-middle segment.

Genres headphones do not have a particular preference, as long as the owner wanted it painted not filing. The quality of the recording they are moderately critical where on 7 points out of 10.

A few traditional tracks-examples

Kovacs — Mama & Papa an Unusual contrast of lyricism and epic, seasoned with expressive vocals will please the ear of any music lover. And TinAudio T3 will be satisfied and lovers of technical supply headphones.

Dead Can Dance — The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove Despite the minimalism, the track is quite saturated, and the heroes of today’s review is clearly show, playing and drum beats, and vocals and lots of percussion.

ZAZ — Eblouie par la nuit , another way to demonstrate the technicality of headphones track, filled with emotions to the top, and then hybrids TinAudio show itself “as it should”.

Insights

Overall, TinAudio did exactly what the fans love of the brand: neutral and detailed sound in a good and comfortable housing. There is a noticeable, albeit not huge step in sound, fortunately not resulting in a big increase in price.
