The Federal Antimonopoly service held a press conference today on the theme “the results of the abolition of roaming charges”. On it Anatoly Golomolzin reported imposed on operators of the “big four” fines.
According to golomolzina, in the case of national roaming on each operator was fined in the amount of about 750 thousand rubles. Thus in the case of national roaming solutions on the exact amounts of fines would be made later, rather this in October.
FAS shared a few types roaming in Russia — national, on-net and separately in the Crimea. In-network means roaming on the network of one operator, but in different regions. National roaming starts to work, if in a certain region, the operator has no network.
Operators dispute with the Federal Antimonopoly service regarding intranet roaming lasted about a year and ended in August victory FAS, when all operators had complied with the requirements of the Department. Regarding national roaming in August 2017, the FAS has opened cases against major operators, and in March they removed the violations.
