The production of artificial meat increases 3 times

However, in the world there are many such firms that are competing with each other in this dynamically growing market. And one of them, Beyond Meat, is significantly expanding its production.

Beyond Meat sells burgers artificial meat in 5,000 restaurants throughout the United States, and is also a supplier to major supermarket chains. Recently, Beyond Meat has received a number of investments in the total amount of 55 million U.S. dollars, including, interestingly, and from the largest manufacturer of meat Cleveland Avenue, founded by the former head of McDonald’s Don Thompson.

It is worth noting that Beyond Meat can’t produce meat in vitro. Instead, they use vegetable extracts ingredients: pea protein, yeast, beet juice and coconut oil. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company plans in 2035 to replace all natural vegetable meat analogs. And the “replacement” will do and the closest competitor in the face of Impossible Foods, which plans to produce up to 450 tonnes of artificial meat.

According to analysts, the market of products made of artificial meat each year will grow by 8.4% and in 2020 will amount to 5.2 billion US dollars. The first will go to artificial meat in the USA and Europe, and the last countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
