The success of the Golf R makes sure that the people at Volkswagen are now seriously busy with other R models, including the Golf Wagon.

That left the boss of the department of drivelines of Volkswagen, Heinz-Jakob Neusser know in France during the WRC rally of last weekend.

The only thing the development and production still would be able to keep is a disappointing number of interested markets. The reason for an estate version of the Golf R is simple: the success of the Golf R is much larger than the people at Volkswagen had expected.

A Golf Wagon with 300 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Methinks that there are enough fans of fast drives, and sleepers are those with a lot of fun to meet. It would be in addition to the Golf R cabrio, which undoubtedly is to come, a third carrosserievariant mean of the Golf R.

The Golf R Wagon was already several times as ontwikkelingsauto spotted at the Nürburgring, but now there are also official statements made by Volkswagen.
