Peugeot 106 GTi / Rallye
Peugeot 106 Rallye
Small, light, cheap parts and a nice balance. This is perhaps the best way to get your circuitcarrière to start with, especially if you don’t have experience with rear wheel drive. For about €1500 euro to pick up.

Mazda MX-5
Mazda MX-5
Small, light, cheap parts and a nice balance. But with rear-wheel drive, so just a little more fun. Parts are even cheaper than that of the above-mentioned Peugeot 106. Only restriction: it can be tight if you’re taller. Expect to pay around €2000 euro for a nice 1.8, which has just slightly more power than the 1.6.

BMW E36 325i
BMW E36 325i
The E30 is getting rarer, so look to go to a E36. The 325i is a fine option, and in a reasonable state available from around €2500 euro. If you have something more to spend, you can also for a M3, but then are you sure the three to four – fold lost.

Renault Clio RS
Renault Clio R.S.
Keep you prefer front wheel drive but if you want a bit more power than the above 106? Then the Renault Clio RS might be a good option. Not for nothing was there for years raced in cupverband. For €2500 euro you have a decent copy of the Phase II.

Porsche 944
Porsche 944
For about €3000 euro you can get a reasonable Porsche 944 on the nab. A relatively easy to maintain car with a lot of Volkswagen technology, so affordable parts. On circuits like Zandvoort is also several weekends per year with these cars in cupverband raced.

Alfa Romeo 75 2.0
Alfa Romeo 75
There had to be something Italian in the list, of course. A Alfa Romeo 75 2.0 has at least 145 hp under the hood and also has rear wheel drive. Moreover, it is a very nice driving car, for about €4000 euro.

Renault Mégane RS
Renault Mégane RS
Front-wheel drive, but quite brilliant. Especially with Trophy support is this a car that you should not underestimate. A fine 225 hp from a 2.0 Turbo 16V. Fine machine from about €7000 euro!

Nissan 350Z
Nissan 350Z
From a sloppy, €8000 euro you can put a Nissan 350Z on your trailer. That means that you have a thick 3.5 V6 with 280 hp, rear-wheel drive and an excellent chassis. Not the cheapest option, but it also seems not fast break.
