Nissan Patrol 45 KM
Triangular sign on the back, electronic limiter on it and your car is oppeens not more APK or MRB-eia and a licence is still not required. By new regulations of the RDW is the conversion of your car will soon -finally – is not possible anymore.

Search on ebay to MMBS (motor vehicle with limited speed) and you will be showered with a torrent of cars that you are inexpensive and simple can drive away from your sixteenth. Of Berlingo’s, Suburban’s and Yarissen to giant army trucks, it can do it all. Due to a loophole in the law allows your car to transform into land or forestry. That sounds more complicated than it is: a triangular plate, round 45 km-sticker and a limiter is all you need.

This country – and forestry tractors are exempt from road tax, not MOT exempt and can be up to 1 July 2016, even without a driver’s license to drive. Last year figured out that you have a T-driving licence needed and you can do that from your sixteenth by getting to lessons on a tractor with double pedals. The implementation is, however, delayed from 1 July 2015 to 1 July 2016*. That you’re still in a normal car you can steps within the built-up area not otherwise behave as any other car, is, of course, the fools.

Fortunately the RDW finally with new regulations, so let them in a short but powerful message on the website to know:

If you have a vehicle and want to convert to a country – and forestry, you must from 1 september 2015, with the request for acceptance of a manufacturer’s declaration is required. From this statement it appears that the vehicle is specially designed for use as country – and forestry.

Then explain that you Vitara, Golf GTI, or Mercedes SLK is really meant to be trees from the forest to attract or the land to fertilize. Ergo: there is now finally an end to the conversion of cars to MMBS. Who like irresponsible wants to be: so you can still have a small one and a half month your car omkeuren. For already to MMBS omgekeurde vehicles has this new rule also has no effect. That remains to be careful to blown so, until all 16-year-old 45-km-cart to a tree or unsuspecting pedestrian to have folded.

UPDATE 16-06-15: Apparently they are in the RDW also not completely up to date. State elsewhere on their website still stated that the T-driver’s licence until 1 July 2016 would be necessary, now give them with a short note on their frontpage (“because of the many questions” hehe) that it is still July 1, 2015. With a B licence you get from 1 July 2015, automatic category T credited on your driving licence and also a trekkercertificaat from 1 July 2015 until 1 July 2016 to convert to a T-driving licence. The RDW recommends, if you have a T-driver’s license and no B-driver’s license or trekkercertificaat, this last for 1 July 2015 and then to put in a T-driving licence. How cumbersome again…

UPDATE 2: By the new rules as of 1 september is no longer possible for a car to build for T5-tractor with a maximum speed of 45 km/h, but still to MMBS with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. What exactly the differences are between these two categories and what more changes in the field of driving licences, you can read HIERRRRR!
