Audi RS5 TDI (800 Nm) pakt dieselrecord op de Sachsenring
The Germans let by the RS5 TDI Competition Concept yet, but let’s see what you doing with an electric turbo can achieve.

Last year we were already acquainted with the RS5 TDI a study model with which Audi, the possibilities of electric turbo’s to examine. At the time it was the RS5 is still good for 385 hp and 750 Nm, but in the meantime, there is a scoop on top done. The result? A powerful 435 hp at 800 Nm.

The RS5’s lap record for diesel cars on the Sachsenring improved. Unfortunately, according to Audi, with not a word about the lap time, let alone over the old record, but the potential of the rapid RS5 is clear. The technique ensures that the biturbo V6 TDI with electronic compressor, the turbo pressure is faster to build and the throttle response improves.

The study model sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4 count around 200 km/h in 16 seconds on the clock. Of course, the RS5 TDI -just like the TT Clubsport Concept– not in the same form in production, but the technology we can within a reasonable time on the road-Audi’s expect.
