The Top Gear-men have teamed up with producer Andy Wilman signed to a streaming service. It is only no streamer has become true, we here in the Netherlands are familiar with. That is frankly a pity, but somewhere we can see it coming. The are currently after all the competitors of Netflix that big money offer for top titles. So bought Yahoo recently the series Community (or what is left of it), put Hulu $130 million on the table for all the seasons of Seinfeld and is the video service of Amazon which is now the roguish trio strictly and there a lot of attention are going to generate.
The amount which it is involved by both parties is not disclosed. The Financial Times today, however, with the redeeming word: Amazon pays $250 million (€227 million) for three seasons autotainment, consisting of 36 episodes. We get each year, so 12 fresh episodes. Approximately equal to the ‘old’ Top Gear. Or there are also specials to be made is not known.
