At CES 2016, which runs from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, Samsung Electronics has presented external portable solid state drive high capacity. Samsung Portable SSD uses proprietary T3 technology Vertical NAND (V-NAND) SSD and TurboWrite.
The drive is enclosed in a metal housing, available in versions with 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB and 2. He is able to connect to a PC via high speed USB interface 3.1. The speed of reading and writing data reaches 450 MB/sec. Drive dimensions are 74 x 58 x 10.5 mm and weighs 51 grams. SSD supports hardware encryption using AES with 256-bit key.
Sale Samsung Portable SSD T3 will begin in February 2016 in the USA, China, Korea and some European countries.
