War on the Nürburgring: teams threaten boycott

The German autosportbond is under fire, after the recent announcement of new rules regarding racing on the Nürburgring. The previous speed limits were abolished and in its place came fiddling about choked capabilities. There is indeed no racefan to wait, but the safety is paramount.

The racing teams (including Manthey Racing, Black Falcon, Car Collection, and the genius of the Frikadelli Racing) do not agree with the way things are and want there to be an agreement between them and the racebond. As long as that does not happen, the teams prepared for the 24h of the Nürburgring and other VLN races to boycott.

What the teams want? No limitation of capabilities, no speed limits, greater use of so-called ” Code 60 periods’ and less bureaucracy. What the Code 60 periods: these are times when not harder should be driven over 60 km/h, a kind of virtual safetycar. But, what the heck, I pull in a frikadelli.
