Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe is officially delicious

Recently we were generously drooling over the Mercedes S-Class coupe, and now we do it again: das Haus is coming to the wire with the nose of the S-Class coupézalm, the S63 AMG. This monster delivers 585 turbocharged horsepower.

Most of the features and the design you had with the S500 Coupe before been, and this S63 is different there in regards to that little. Also this car has a tilt function, where a sensor, the suspension in the turns to 2.5 degrees height adjusts (at speeds from 30-180 km/h). This sloping bodywork must be the ‘hanging’ feeling of combat.

Then the big news, the specs. Like any modern AMG with a dubbelgeblazen 5.5 litre V8 also delivers this S63 585 hp and 900 (!) Nm. Mercedes offered on the predecessor of this, the CL63, AMG Performance Pack, but with these two power variants, they are all stopped. The customer now gets just all the power without a separate Pack to have finches.

Depending on the version accelerate you in the coupe with the 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT of 0-100 in only 3.9 to 4.3 seconds, with the 4MATIC version, of course, the quickest. The DIN weight of the S63 remains with 1.995 kg (just under 2 tonnes (oddly enough gives Mercedes the same weight for both the RWD if AWD). Or the price that also remains, we will later know.

S65 AMG Coupé

The unveiling of the S63 Coupe in april at the New York Auto Show. The car will be there also as Edition 1, which for up to a year after the introduction is available. The sales of the 4MATIC version start on 7 april 2014, on July 14, followed by that of the RWD variant. Then also the S 65 AMG Coupé released. The market launch for both the versions is scheduled for september 27, 2014.
