Porsche 718 Boxster gets big powerupgrade

The successor of the current model Boxster is almost finished and so are there more details known. As the number of pk’s and Nm’s that the new four-cylinder turboblok goes up.

The current Boxster is equipped with a natural-breathing six-cylinder boxer engine. That is immolated in favor of a turboblok and because there is not enough room for a turbo on a six cylinder in the back of the Boxster, the two front cylinders to expire. The basis for the four-cylinder block is the six-cylinder engine with turbo (9A2B6T) nowadays the standard in the 991.2.

The basisblok for the Porsche 718 Boxster is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine (9A2B4T). The standard 718 Boxster will get, according to them, a power of 295 hp and a torque of 350 Nm. That is 30 hp and 70 Nm more than the current generation.

The power unit of the Boxster S would be something opgeboord be up to 2.4 or 2.5 gallons large, and are good for 355 hp and 400 Nm of torque. That’s 40 hp and 40 Nm more than the current Boxster S is currently behind the front seats.
