Norway will separate immigratieminister

OSLO –

To the large influx of refugees in good jobs, to lead, Norway has a separate minister for Immigration and Integration. That made the government in Oslo Wednesday known. Previously both were parts of two government ministries are housed.

Sylvi Listhaug of the populist Vooruitgangspartij is the immigratieminister. She was until now minister of Agriculture in the centre-right government of prime minister Erna Solberg.

Norway is counting this year on an influx of 40,000 asylum seekers. A few weeks ago was the asielwet tightened.
