Never rode an Indonesian in the Formula 1, but next year may change in the future. Manor may count on a financial injection of € 15 million if they Rio Haryanto a chair.

While most teams already to have established who their drivers for 2016, there is silent Manor yet in all languages about the line-up for next season. Current drivers Will Stevens and Alexander Rossi are hoping next year still in the employ of the Manor, especially now that they next year on a competitive Mercedes engine, but there is for the team to be an interesting third option. Financially interesting, that is.

Since the end of 2011, the 22-year-old Rio Haryanto in GP2-kamioenschap, which he after three disappointing seasons this year with a fourth place in the overall standings has managed to achieve and he knew three races winning, to conclude. Also has Haryanto all the necessary miles tested in an F1 car, but a chair had not yet been awarded.

The Indonesian government sees Rio Haryanto happy to be behind the wheel of a Manor F1 car and has less than 15 million euros for on. There would, incidentally, they have more than just a seat for the back, so would advertising at car and clothes and some promotional events also form part of the proposal. A proposal by the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sport to the outside is established, but that is still no response from the Manor.
