Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge shares its engine with the Nissan GT-R

We already knew for a while how this extremely muscular Infiniti Q50 looks like, but until now was always kept secret what engine under the hood was. That secret is now away.

In Geneva Infiniti announced that there is a 3.8-liter V6 with two turbo’s under the hood, or the engine that we already know from the Nissan GT-R. Is this the four-door GT-R which some people have long dreams?

The 3.8-liter V6 in the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge delivers 568 hp and 600 Nm and is paired to a 7-speed automatic. Of course, the Q50 Eau Rouge, just like the Nissan GT-R of four-wheel drive. According to Infiniti, the Q50 Eau Rouge in less than four seconds from standstill to 100 km/h sprint. The top speed would be at nearly 290 km/h. For now, this is still a concept car and there are no plans for the Q50 Eau Rouge into production, but Infiniti wants like fast cars on the market.

The regular Q50 will be available as from this autumn will also be available with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that 214 hp and 320 Nm of supplies. All that horsepower will be unleashed on the rear wheels.
