Erik van Loon in zijn MINI
One more week, then we will know which riders Dakar 2015 have won. The differences are bridgeable, but there are also English who still have a chance at a nice cologne?

Cars
Nasser Al-Attiyah is this year’s unstoppable in his MINI and seems to be well on the way to his second Dakar title. However, we also see two Dutch people who are continuously in the best ten riders have established: Bernhard ten Brinke (5th) and Erik van Loon (6th). The gentlemen have a backlog of, respectively, 57 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes and should be hard to drive, they want higher finish in the final standings, so a bit of bad luck at the competition would be in the second week is not wrong.

Thus, we want nothing to do with the current ranking of the two, as everyone in the rally at the ten best ends, delivers an absolute top performance. The same goes for Maik Willems (46th) and Tom Coronel (71st), who do not participate to the top positions, but the desert until now, the boss in the house.

Hans Stacey in de IVECO

Trucks
Those darn Russians… In 2012, she succeeded Gerard de Rooy finally agree to them from the throne, but during this season there is no size on Airat Mardeev in KAMAZ. De Rooy (21st) and reed during the fourth stage are differential piece and ran it for hours catching up. He focuses (today for example) on dagzeges and the support of Hans Stacey (7th). Stacey is currently the best Dutchman and would be a strong marathon leg, just a bunch of (White)Russians out of the way can holds. The same applies for Marcel van Vliet, currently number 8 in the overall standings.

Engines
Motorcyclists have the first rest day behind us and may today be full again at the exit. We are curious who is there as the best out of the starting blocks, because that’s Joan Barreda Bort has only seventeen minutes ahead of defending champion Marc Coma. Hans Vogels is on the 20th place for the best Dutchman, not only for his second Dakar participation. Frans Verhoeven (25th) has some more rallies behind his name, and ordered the rest lost confidence in the second week, so keep him well in the holes.
