That is acid. In addition to the dieselschandaal around the NOx-story, now seems to be CO2-tampering the call of the day. The Belgian importer of vw, D’ieteren, suspend the sale of all of the possible relevant brands within the VAG group.

The CO2 story covers the 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 TDI engines. Also the petrol engines are, this time, jack. Both the 1.4 TSI as the TFSI engine are involved in the irregularities.

This means that various Volkswagens, Audi’s, Seats and Skoda’s are not sold will be, until further notice. Current orders will still be handled by the importer, but a new order is not possible. It would go to 25% of the models this year on the market have appeared. This is the second verkoopstop that the importer in a short period of time.

According to the Volkswagen group, there are worldwide about 800,000 vehicles in circulation involved. D’ieteren Auto can not currently confirm whether or not there is also in Belgium the vehicles in circulation that are affected by these new irregularities. As a reaction to and in anticipation of the final results of the ongoing internal investigation of the Volkswagen group, D’ieteren Auto decided to allow the sale of potentially affected models to temporarily suspend.

D’ieteren felt compelled this action as a result of the messages of the past few days. The Volkswagen group would irregularities have been noted with regard to CO2 emission and consumption figures.
